Put up the portable shade screen and got to work. Four hours of detailing fun.

- Hand washed car with Griot ’s waterless wash (it wasn’t very dirty to begin with)

- Removed little spots of tree sap. Used Tarminator and a bug sponge.

- Hand polished with Klasse AIO

- Hand waxed with Natty liquid red paste wax

- Vacuumed top, applied Gummy Phledge to rubber bits

- Interior got a quick vacuum and 303 wipe down

- Exterior trim also got 303 treatment

- Tire shine on tires, because I’m a sucker for shiny ties.

- I am happy with the results and exhausted!

I like a matte finish on a tire. I want the tire to look new not shiny.

I use Lucas tire and trim, it's amazing

My wife and I went to Florida earlier this year and rented a convertible boostang. It made me realize two things; life is too short for a boring car, and apparently I love convertibles.

Upon return from Florida I played around with the online configurator from Ford and dec i ded what I wanted.

In M arch I ordered the following:

2019 GT Convertible, 10 speed auto, Ruby Red paint, 3.55 gears, active exhaust, spare tire, spoiler delete, 19" polished aluminum wheels, tan leather interior.

In early July it arrived. The active exhaust is so, so much fun. Quiet when you want it to be, but loud and raucous when you want to have fun.

It’s been nothing but smiles so far!

Looks great.

Plus points for the gummi plfe ge. So many people forget about the door rubber seals and it’s important to look after them, especially on convertibles and pillarless doors, etc... as it keeps them supple, UV protected from drying out and cracking but also to stop doors freezing closed in the winter and pillarless doors from burning out the window motor, breaking the glass or generally just not letting you in the car.

Thanks! Yea, keeping the interior and rubber bits protected are so important on a convertible. Both the gummi and the 303 are great products.

I use 303 Aerospace on the engine bay and Gtechniq C6ab Matte Dash on the dashboard and door cards . Kills bacteria, high UV filter, abras ion resistant, retains a factory finish, easy clean, lasts six months, non greasy or tacky and non glossy.

Oh, sounds good. I’ve heard of Gtechniq products, but never tried them. Thanks!

They do all the cars at almost all RM Auctions.

I’ve used almost all their products since 2011 (in fact I helped develop two and tried three pre-re leased products prior to going on sale).

The Managing Director, Rob Earle, is the one in the video applying C6 .

10/10 color combo. I’ve been in love with dark reds lately, and ALWAYS love a good tan/brown interior. Your spec is very classy, and she looks fantastic.

I’ve been wanting a ‘19 GT coupe manual with the PP1 in Velocity Blue and have been having a hard time deciding if I want the Recaros or not, but also want Magnaride and the active exhaust and I gotta say, it’s been hell trying to locate one with my exact options. I may have to order one, but I’m curious what will be available on the 2020 cars.

Since you ordered yours, were there still some discounts available or did you have to pay close to MSRP?

Ah thanks! I always wanted a red car with a tan interior. It’s not 100% tan; the seating area is tan, but the backs are black. It works though in real life and looks better than it sounds.

I was waffling on the magneride but decided against it. In our rental and a few test rides  I took I thought the stock suspension was fine. But mine’s not a power pack, and if I had to daily a PP car I might get the magneride.

The power pack option would be cool, that’s for sure. I went through the configurator about 1000 times - putting in the California Special, Power Pack, different wheels, different colors, etc. It’s soooo hard to choose. But at the end of the day I decided since mine was going to be a daily driver first, and sports car second, and that I would get the auto and a non performance pack. It’s still fast as hell and loud as crap. I would recommend the active exhaust to anyone who likes to switch between quiet and loud.

I used a buying service available through my work. Below MSRP, just above invoice. So it wasn’t too, too, bad.
